Painting Gallery
I am drawn to images that convey my own sense of the sacred in everyday life. The moments of transcending beauty we experience even while leading ordinary lives, or the sense of awe one feels when looking at a light-filled landscape. These scenes hold deep personal symbolism for me and continue to inspire me to create art.
When I first became interested in art, I experimented with a technique called 'batik'. This is a very old process from Indonesia using wax and dye on cloth. Eventually batik began to feel too limiting and I moved on to painting. My most recent work is in oil.

Please stop by Gallery 321 in Baltimore until November 22, 2008 to see my recent work in the gallery's opening exhibit.
